“From Africa to Virginia” is a three-screen, high definition, mulit-media presentation that tells the story of how African people and their culture influenced the growth of the Jamestown settlement.  Encased artifacts located in front of the three giant screens light up when they appear in the film, giving the viewer a chance to examine them closely.

Jamestown Settlement’s new 30,000 square foot permanent exhibition center presents the story of 17th Century Virginia and its Powhatan Indian, English, and African cultural origins.  Most of the exhibition films and interactives were produced in high definition format and include historical recreations.
