Adam Schein graduated from Dartmouth College, where he majored in psychology and also developed an interest in film. He has worked as line producer and in other capacities on projects for the Normandy American Cemetery Visitor Center, the Jamestown Settlement, the United States Naval Academy Hall of Fame, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts Interpretive Center, and the Historical Society of Palm Beach County.
